Continuing Education

This page includes affiliate links. Please read our full disclosure policy here.

Continuing education isn’t just a requirement you have to check-the-box on in order to renew your license, registration, or any specialty certifications you might have; its a great way to expand your knowledge of occupational therapy practice, learn new skills, and improve your patient outcomes. In short, continuing education isn’t something you complete for someone else, but instead something you do for you!

We don’t yet have our own continuing education courses (we are working on that!), but we are a part of the MedBridge Affiliate Program. This means that if you join MedBridge using our affiliate link, you will get a discount and we earn a commission. Below is a list of the cost for MedBridge based on the type of plan you purchase (keep in mind that these are the lowest prices you can get for a MedBridge subscription):

  • $225 for PT/AT/OT/RN Education (all courses)
  • $275 for PT/AT/OT/RN Premium (Education, plus HEP builder, patient education)

To get these discounted prices, just use our affiliate link or use the promo code AllThingsOT when signing up.

Obviously, the best continuing education source and plan is dependent upon you and your individual strengths, weaknesses, and educational interests, but here are a few reasons we like MedBridge. If any of these reasons resonate with you, perhaps you should give MedBridge a try!

  • Courses are short but focused, meaning you don’t have to devote a lot of time to learn a lot of material.
  • Courses are broken down into shorter segments with questions immediately following each segment, meaning you can squeeze in part of a course whenever you have a free minute such as at the end of your lunchbreak or while you are waiting for that patient who is always late.
  • There are a lot of courses for OTs! While the courses might not cover everything you want to learn about (especially if you have very specific interests), there are a wide variety of courses to choose from and it shouldn’t be hard to find something applicable to you.
  • You can download the app and watch courses from your phone without having to pull out your computer. You’ll still need to use a computer for some MedBridge features, but using the app will make it easier to squeeze in courses during those free moments of time.
  • You can share course links with co-workers if you think they’d like a particular course you took. They’ll need to have a subscription to MedBridge to view it, of course, but this is a great way to learn together.
  • All course completion certificates remain available in your account even after your subscription ends, so if you misplace your certificate you can always access another copy to verify course completion.
